The hospital I delivered at did not have a nursery. This was new for me. I like my babies with me but I always send them away between night time feedings so I can get some good rest. I was totally disappointed that that wasn't even an option. It made me more anxious to get home and into my own bed. C's pediatrician made us stay for two full days. It's normal protocol for babies born to mommies with GBS. GBS was no big deal. By Saturday morning I was ready to go. We checked out quickly. W got the car. I was wheeled downstairs. It was so nice to be outside. W drove up and we took our baby home.
And now reality sets in...
