Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was one busy day in the Ellingson home. My mind was busying preparing for the juggling of overlapping class parties and overlapping first time soccer practices. The night before I prepared fun treats like these to share at the parties.
When I woke up I was not expecting this to meet me before my shower. Can't go wrong with flowers, chocolate, and...ramen? It's funny because it was one of the only things I could stand to eat at the beginning of the pregnancy.
and then this to meet me after my shower. This is the breakfast W surprised me with our very 1st Valentine's together. 8 years later it's still my favorite Valentine's breakfast (and brunch...and snack...and maybe even lunch). It was a happy way to start this busy day.
All week my kids had been making Valentine's for our family and leaving them to collect here. They make me smile.
Some were simple. From K to W.
Some say cute things like this. From J to K.
and this. From J to C and baby.
And some it only took the sight of candy to know it would please the receiver. From K to J.
First up was J's party. Here's his class minus his favorite friend. Bummer.
After some yummy snacks
They passed out their Valentine's and J got made away with a ton of love.
He brought home more candy and toys than K did from her class that is triple his class size.
I love his preschool and love being able to be there to help!

K's party was simple (compared to the Christmas party) and fun!
After some tasty snacks and fun treat decorating, the kids invaded their Valentine boxes full of fun stuff from friends. K's table.
We came home from all the fun to find a very fun Valentine from Mommy and Daddy.
Gidgets!! My sister's dog is name Gidget. My kids love her. They've wanted their own dog for a while and now they have their very own Gidgets. These ones are allergy free, mess free, and are free to roam around the house and into beds as desired. I recommend it to everyone.
And the day continues...first soccer practices for both kids. J lives the life, right? He's obviously inherited my master abilities of the eye roll.
After practices Daddy opens his Valentine gift.
Love this game! So excited to own it and play it! I might have bought it FOR him just to have an excuse to buy it for me. Hehe.

After grabbing some LOVEly fast food, bathing the kids, and sending them off to bed, Mommy and Daddy were ready for some R&R.
Is that not the look of love? 8 years of love baby!
